I finally had a chance to read the latest exchange between you two. As far as I can gather spaceship loves the Lord, and obviously disagrees with certain things this world has to offer...... But a house divided cannot stand.. I am actually the believer that needs to be on the hot seat. You see, because the only way I would ever be interested in politics, is to pick the humor out of it. And there is a ton of laughs in our political world just waiting to happen every day. No wonder comedians are drawn to it. Its like a comedy buffet. I personally am way more interested in what God is trying to do through the body of believers that has by his grace been drawn in, to be a military of soldiers, working together. I dont have to watch the news anymore. The people that walk by me that are so caught up with the president, and 9/11 conspiracy videos, and who's sleeping with who in hollywood, keep me very much informed. And I dont even have to ask, it just filters through the hallways. I am through with this world, this world has nothing for me. As I spoke at an 18 year olds funeral last Friday, and looked into half of the high schools eyes, and saw their desperation. It hit me so hard. We are going to die. And we dont know when. I am so glad I follow Christ. And I will spend the rest of my days, preaching the good news to all that will hear, despite the persecution, despite how I feel, relentlessly, without ceasing, because I know, deep down inside, that despite our opinions, despite our beliefs, despite religion and everything in between, the only thing that truly matters, is the life that begins once someone finally understands, they are loved, and forgiven. You would have to be blind to say that Brad is not funny. You would have to be blind to think that he has'nt made mistakes, and you would have to be deaf to not hear the laughter, but you would have to be an idiot, to miss the main point of his comedy, which always ends with Jesus is lord punchline. The trick to following Christ and laughing along the way, is to laugh at our indifferences when we inevitably disagree. Do you have the insight to find a laugh, in between the opinions. And do we have the courage to admit when someone has pointed out a truth that we might have missed along the way, to say, I was wrong, do you forgive me?. And how many times must we forgive?. You've read it straight from the black and white words you should be reading daily..... We must always forgive, and we must always be willing to admit that we were wrong. I am not saying that anyone was right or wrong. I am just saying, we are the body. And lets face it, a body looks funny when its all seperated... and its disgusting. So I hereby give everyone on this site an invitation, to blast me, for my lack of political expertise, I am not conservative, because if I was, that would mean that I believe in everything that defines conservatism. I am not liberal, because I know I'm not from just the little I disagree with. I do not have absolute knowledge, to make a logical decision of who I am politically, but I know who I am in Christ. Am I saying that people that call themselves a certain political label are wrong for doing so?, No, I am saying that I am a political idiot, and I have the insight to admit it. I do learn some things as I read these blogs. But mostly, I see what God wants to do in the middle. Because my eyes are geared towards that. That is my focus. Please keep in mind, I am not saying that people should not be interested in politics, heck, you could make a living at it. But Brad does not make his living using politics, he makes his living, because he finally found out, what he was living for. jC
