Re: Hooray for Hollywood
by
Jordan
Hey Brad, I'm the film student from UT Austin that emailed you a while ago about working on a short film. Well I've been extremely busy with adjusting to a move to Texas from Quebec and just starting to get to the college tempo. Anyway, things have settled down and I would still like to work on one this summer. I still have the number for your manager you gave me and he'll be hearing from me in the next couple of weeks.
Anyway, you'll be happy to know that I've been very politically active here on the campus of one of the most liberal schools in the country. Recently I founded a student organization called "The Conservative Filmmakers Alliance" (http://www.cfa.owns.it). Surprisingly we got 115 people to join on Facebook and the org is officially registered with the university. We just had our first officer meeting last week.
I came across this blog entry, and I 'v always really liked what you had to say about the entertainment industry. I've been writing a blog with a couple friends called "The People's Hollywood" and we are always looking for good material for the page. We are also in the process of looking for more film students across the country to write for it, and we hope to have a podcast set up in the near future on MySpace.
I'm posting a link to this blog entry on The People’s Hollywood (http://peopleshollywood.blogspot.com), I hope you don't mind. Please let me know if you ever post more blogs concerning Hollywood. And I’ll pass them on. God bless you and what you do!
Your fellow conservative entertainer and brother in Christ,
Jordan
