I don't know President Bush as a person, so I can't really love him or hate him personally. I can disagree with his policies, though. Just because he is a Christian doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to criticize him. Surely you would agree with that. And yes, I do hold Christians to a higher standard than the rest of society. I think we're called to be different, to be examples of what Christ can do. I'm not responsible for the actions of others, whether it's President Carter or anyone in the media. All I can do, and all I ask Mr. Stine to do, is make a personal effort not to dehumanize those who disagree with my politics. We all fall short of this goal and let our partisanship overcome us. Liberals have gone overboard against President Bush, just as conservatives have gone overboard against President and Senator Clinton.
